Elle Simone Scott, a chef and food stylist who broke barriers as one of the first Black women featured on PBS’s “America’s Test Kitchen,” has died at age 49 after battling ovarian cancer, according to reports.

History was made in last week's episode of "Hell's Kitchen" when all contestants who landed in the top five of the competition and earned the coveted black jackets were women.
