Liverpool continued their steady Premier League momentum with a 2-1 victory over Wolves, a game shaped as much by emotion as by moments of attacking

Wolves have broken the record for a winless start to a Premier League season with a post-Christmas defeat at Liverpool.

Ruben Amorim’s Man United have lost just once in their last eight games, winning four in that run, as they continue to kick on in their push for a top four finish. They led 1-0 against West Ham last time out but gave up a late goal to drop two points in a frustrating outing.

It looked like Arsenal had dropped two vital points when Wolves substitute Tolu Arokodare headed a shock equaliser past Raya in the 90th minute but a second own goal, this time from Yerson Mosquera in the fourth added minute, gave the league leaders what could prove a vital win come May.

Wolves boss Rob Edwards spoke to BBC Match of the Day after his side's defeat by Liverpool: "It's frustrating. Liverpool can force you back and we weren't able to keep it on the transition. You can concede a goal and then to concede again after a minute is criminal.
