This morning, USACE Little Rock engineers opened one spillway gate at Greers Ferry Dam to evacuate flood storage from recent heavy rainfall in the region. The spillway release combined with hydropower is around 6,800 cubic feet per second. Around noon today, engineers plan on opening additional gates which will bring the total combined release to around 9,200 c.f.s.
