Sewing multiple layers of bulky fabric and fleece can be really tricky, and that’s where a good ruler comes in handy. The ruler I use has a cork backing on it, which helps prevent it from slipping on the fabric. By using firm pressure on the ruler, that helps prevent the fabric from shifting as you sew. As you can see I have a walking foot machine, but still find the ruler trick useful. I have demonstrated this technique a few times… let me know in the comments if this is something you do now, o
